Once again, Märklin and Trix models won top accolades from several German publications in the vote for the “Model of the Year” (“Eisenbahn Magazin”, “N-Bahn Magazin”) and “Goldenes Gleis” (The Golden Track) award (“MIBA”, “Modell-eisenbahner”).
Readers of the German periodical “Eisenbahn Magazin” chose no less than seven products from Märklin companies as “Model of the Year”, including the Club models of the class E 44.5 DB (Märklin/Trix) in the category H0 electric locos and the class VT92.501 DB (Märklin/Trix) in the segment for H0 rail cars and powered rail car trains. The digital 23-meter (75-29⁄64') turntable in H0 (Märklin/Trix) also took top honors in the technology category, as did the DB class V 320 in the Gauge-1 vehicle category and the LGB DR steam loco 99.73-76 for Gauge-2 vehicles.
In this anniversary year, the Mini-Club DB class V 80 diesel loco – the Club model of the year 2021 – also
secured the top prize in the Z-vehicle category along with the R Stuttgart stake car in the H0 freight car category.
Readers of the German magazines “MIBA” and “ModellEisenbahner” issued a top rating and the “Goldenes Gleis” (Golden Track) award to the model of the DR class 02 0314 (“Schorsch”) in the H0 steam locomotive category. The class VT 92.5 – the second Club model of 2021 – also topped the poll for diesel-powered rail cars in H0.
