Prototype information

"Calling all cars ..." The typical police car from the time of the "steel network" crime shows in Germany was a VW Beetle in a dark green paint scheme. A large blue light on the roof, a loudspeaker horn on the fender, and a ringing siren that sounds rather cheerful today commanded respect for these vehicles of the authorities in traffic and in the movies. The nickname "Peter car" common at that time applied in a narrower sense only to the Beetles with police radios.
